About the RICHEL D-Series Waterjet

As the largest reseller of used waterjet equipment in the United States, RICHEL’s time and experience in the used waterjet market have allowed us to quickly detect and adapt to changes in the market. We noticed that as waterjet cutting became a more popular and essential technique for manufacturing, finding a good quality used machine was becoming more difficult. We set our sights to the future and began searching the globe for a manufacturer that produces a high accuracy, high quality waterjet system at a low price.

After years of consulting with manufacturers from all over the world, we found a company that was able to meet our high standards of excellence: the RICHEL D-Series! Grating System 

No matter which size machine you choose, your RICHEL D-Series will come standard with WARDJet, Inc. Job Shop Grates. The WARDJet, Inc. proprietary modular grate system is the ideal grating and clamping system when working with waterjet cutting. This revolutionary grating, clamping and fixturing system has been designed with the user in mind. Everything about this system is efficient and easy-to-use. The flat, rigid design helps eliminate movement of parts during cutting. The thinner 16 gauge steel construction substantially reduces back-spray and kickback.

These grates are designed to be completely reversible, therefore doubling the life of your grates. The design of the Job Shop Grates allows you to use WARDJet clamps to secure material anywhere on the cutting table. After years of operating our own job shop, we understand the difference it can make to be able to load, clamp and unload parts as quickly as possible. We have used these grates in “real life” situations and they’ve definitely stood up to the test. 

Controller

RICHEL D-Series machines are paired with the powerful, German engineered Higerman controller or the well known Fagor controller. Some of the features for these controller include:

In 2006, RICHEL partnered with IGEMS® to provide what is regarded as one of the most versatile CAD/CAM packages available today. This easy to use, Windows based, CAD/CAM software makes it easy for someone who has never programmed a part to produce excellent results the first time. Our goal was to take the mystique out of programming and make CAM more of a procedure than a skill. Our software is also “open architecture” which simply means that you, the owner, has the freedom to modify and customize your own post processors, and configure the way the software will work with virtually any controller. This is an incredibly powerful tool that will make a difference to your production. This excellent program allows parts to be programmed and ready to cut in a matter of minutes. IGEMS® advanced features make it ideal to work in a waterjet environment. Some of these features are: automatic true shape nesting of irregular parts, support for almost every kind of geometry, and nesting of simple entities like lines, arcs, regions and circles.  Software training videos are available and offered free of charge with every machine purchase. Pumps

The RICHEL D-Series waterjet can be supplied with a 30 or 50 horsepower intensifier pump depending on your cutting needs. A larger 75, 100 or 150 hp pump would also be available if your application requires it. Often there are used pumps available as a lower cost option. Feel free to give us a call to ensure you have the right pump for your application. We can also help you select a pump that will be able to support the number of cutting heads you will be running.
